About Me

I am a dedicated student with a vision to pursue my passion for anthropology through research and service. A defining part of my interests has been my medical service trips to Guatemala, where I worked alongside doctors to provide pediatric, dental, and medication services in rural communities and assisted with educational programs at local schools. These experiences allowed me to witness firsthand the challenges faced by underserved populations and shaped my commitment to health equity, community service, and understanding the social and environmental factors that influence well-being.

Inspired by these experiences, I have explored the intersections of environment, health, and culture, with a particular focus on how communities adapt to the effects of climate change. I have conducted original research on heat risks and coping strategies for agricultural workers in Guatemala, sharing my findings at the International Conference on Sustainable Development. My research focuses on practical solutions and context-specific strategies to improve health outcomes for vulnerable populations. I have also explored sustainability and design in the built environment, authoring a forthcoming peer-reviewed article on the Javits Convention Center for Archipedia, as well as producing research on equitable cooling strategies in low-income settings.

Outside of research, I enjoy exploring global issues and learning more about how culture, environment, and social structures shape human experiences. I continue to pursue projects that combine my interests in anthropology, sustainability, and community engagement, striving to make meaningful contributions to understanding and addressing real-world changes.
